Senior Network Analyst

Purpose

 

The Senior Network Analyst’s role will be part of a dynamic team that is responsible for network architecture ensuring the integrity of the network for voice, data and video. This includes securing, configuring and optimizing all network systems and services. Development and implementation of standards including CISCO ACI, SDN, SD-WAN and Cloud. Acts as a subject matter expert for infrastructure teams in the design, delivery and support of IT solutions. The Senior Network Analyst’s obligation will be to maintain SLAs for all organizational network solutions.

Accountabilities

 

  • Serve as a subject matter expert for network routing, switching, firewalls, remote access, and other LAN and WAN technologies
  • Collaborate with business and IT leadership to assess short and long-term network capacity requirements associated with the organization's infrastructure
  • Work with vendors, business users and other resources to assess and understand technologies and develop proposed beneficial technical solutions 
  • Ability to analyze stakeholder requirements and convert into secure solutions
  • Work within established configuration and change management policies to ensure awareness, approval and success of changes made to the network infrastructure
  • Support high availability and ensure uptime consistent with the organization's business requirements
  • Participates in configuration of monitoring tools and alert mechanisms 
  • Assist and/or Lead IT Infrastructure Capital Projects
  • Assist in improving and maintaining security posture across the infrastructure services and equipment in line with security and regulatory policies
  • Identify technology gaps and work to evaluate and select appropriate value-add solutions and innovations
  • Create and maintain documentation as it relates to network configuration, network mapping, processes, and service records
  • Ensures appropriate compliance and audit requirements are met
  • Support day-to-day operation of network infrastructure and services
  • Participate in a 24x7 on call rotation and respond to outages related to network infrastructure and services
  • Assist with managing relationship with data center and telecommunications services providers

Education and Experience

 

Required Experience

  • Knowledge and experience with CISCO ACI
  • Experience with network access control, network load balancing, hyper converged network architectures and/or software defined networks
  • Experience designing, developing, and deploying network infrastructure in the enterprise network environment. 
  • Expert level knowledge in network and wide area network routing and switching solutions
  • Experience with datacenter technologies 
  • Self-motivated with an ability to multi-task and prioritize across competing initiatives
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to learn new technologies quickly and adapt to changing technical landscapes
  • Ability to communicate with business partners from many different backgrounds and technical abilities

 

Desired Experience (not required)

  • Expert level knowledge in security solutions including next generation firewalls, IPS and IDS
  • Experience working with industry security frameworks
  • Experience in mission critical and/or life safety facilities
