The Senior Manager, OT manages all aspects of the organization's OT -Operational Technology that enables and supports energy generation, transmission, and distribution. They will be responsible for the technical design, operation, tracking, and remediation of all NERC requirements and provide strategic options and roadmap for the OT practice , as well as the operational guidance and goals ensuring the department resources are effectively and efficiently aligned. We are looking for a People Leader who can lead staff of 5-15, as well as utilize and manage external managed services where required to ensure the effective and efficient delivery and support of OT services, within defined SLAs. 




  • Review, manage, protect, and optimize configurations, capacity, and performance
  • Manage appropriate DR, high-availability, replication, redundancy, failover, backup and recovery 
  • Enforce all IT cyber-security measures, and NERC requirements
  • Manage on-call 
  • Provide full operational monitoring and reporting
  • Monitor, and manage all budget for the group, including but not limited to both capex and operations spend, providing monthly variance reporting 
  • Provide recommendations for improvements in the delivery/operation/maintenance of service      
  • Provide full implementation, support, and optimization of applications supporting OT platform
  • Provide technology architecture collaboration, and deployment architecture, collaborator and co-approver of technology systems architecture.
  • Provide final direction on assessment/advisement/planning on all patches, bug-fixes, revisions, and upgrades ;  provide the platform plan to implement and manage technology roadmap.   
  • Manage day-to-day vendor relationships; Accurate tracking of vendor activities; Track license agreements and license usage for vendors in your portfolio; Establish release plans/upgrade paths/release compliancy plans for the next 3 years out

Education and Experience


  • Minimum of 5-15 years working in IT , with at least 3-5 years at a managerial level encompassing   OT infrastructure, OT platforms, OT applications -such as Envision-; managing groups of at least 5-15 staff, and managing all aspects of Networks/Servers/Databases/Infrastructure Services/Applications                                                                                                                                                                              
  • Demonstrated experience with IT incident/change/problem/CAB management
  • Ability to translate technical requirements into business terms
  • Strong, effective, and pervasive communication skills a must
  • Strong presentation skills, and strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • At least 3-5 years of experience in the Energy/Utilities vertical sector, including specific NERC experience
  • M.Sc. in Computer Science, and/or P. Eng./P.E. preferred                                                                                                   
  • Project Management Skills a plus.                                                                                                                                       
  • Demonstrated Technical Experience in one or more of: Microsoft server/compute technology; Cisco Network technology; DELL Commvault & Compellent platforms; VMWare & Citrix. 
  • Industry recognized certifications / courses in OT/NERC a must.
