Purpose
The Accountant III will work with the ERP project leads with the implementation of SAP S4 Hanna FICO. The Accountant III is an integral part of the ERP Transformation team working closely with other project team members, 3rd party consultants, system integrator and business stakeholders to successfully implement SAP S4 Hanna across our entities.
Accountabilities
- Support the project leads with FICO SAP S4 Hanna implementation
- Data conversions, validation and mapping of legacy projects/work orders and financial work orders to SAP S4 Hanna
- Assist with updating process flows and process design documents
- Assist with testing, test script execution, log defects and retest,
- Assist with reporting test results and running reports and dashboards
- Run GL reports and compare to legacy systems
- Assist with the regulatory reports inventory
- Work with project team members on deliverables and task
- Assist in maintaining the chart of account mapping table
- Assist in the month end close process (testing, maintain checklist)
- Assist with the financial integrations and validations to/from SAP (Concur, Hyperion, Kriyba, Ceridian, Landworks, etc)
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree or Master in Accounting or Finance required with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in general accounting including all facets of the balance sheet and income statement required. CPA a plus.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP required.
- Utility experience and/or understanding of regulatory accounting a plus
- Great Plains, SAP, Powerplan experience a plus
- Excellent interpersonal skills, professional presentation and the ability to communicate effectively.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, (Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint) particularly in Excel required.
- Understanding of regulatory accounting a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze financial information and recognize significant variances, trends and irregularities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and set priorities to meet deadlines
- Demonstrate an ability to problem solve by grasping the key drivers of issues and thinking through solutions that are effective and efficient
- Communicate effectively with all levels of the organization
