Product Owner, Enterprise Business Solutions

Purpose

 

As the Product Owner, EBS at Liberty, you will play a key role in working with our business leadership, stakeholders and technology/project teams to: 

 

  • Manage the customer experience product backlog to execute the product roadmap and play an active role in the education and enablement of our user community 
  • Identify opportunities to improve Customer processes to enable more effective and efficient customer organization operations 
  • You will work closely with business stakeholders to manage the roadmap of leading edge, integrated solutions including SAP ISU, SAP AMI, SAP C4C, SAP SEW 

 

You will work with Business stakeholders and EBS partners to develop and communicate a product roadmap that enables the Business to derive maximum benefit from the solution, not only in the near term but over its entire lifespan

Accountabilities

 

  • Interview Customer stakeholders to understand business objectives and priorities 
  • Work with SME’s and technical experts to analyze requirements and define solutions 
  • Proactively identify areas for improvement within the product 
  • Liaise with Enablement and Engagement teams to identify patterns and trends in issues and enhancement requests 
  • Lead the definition of a Customer product roadmap, working collaboratively with EBS, Business, and IT stakeholders; engage to incorporate the roadmap into relevant Business, Customer First and Enterprise Architecture roadmaps 
  • Backlog Refinement; build out solutions, user stories and acceptance criteria to enable the defined product roadmap 
  • Plan and conduct domain backlog grooming and road-mapping sessions.  
  • Collaborate with the IT application teams on planning and delivery 
  • Collaborate with IT application teams on the prioritization of break/fix incidents and participate in the bi-weekly grooming of the Customer First enhancement backlog 
  • Support deployment of new enhancements/features by identifying learning requirements, impacts on security roles and profiles; support user enablement team in deployment activities, both internal to the company and external to our customers 
  • Collaborate with EBS leaders and peers on the definition of product management processes and best practices,  
  • Collaborate with the Product Manager on the definition of objectives and key results for the Plan to Perform product 
  • Collaborate with EBS and IT stakeholders on definition and deployment of quality management practices through the design, development and release cycles 
  • Develop and maintain a network of stakeholders and subject matter experts within the Business and other supporting functions 
  • Gain and maintain a working knowledge of the Liberty business operations, policies / procedures / standards supporting Liberty’s Customer Processes 
  • Identify product related risks and issues, prepare courses of action, and advise EBS Leadership 
  • Engage and coordinate with other Liberty functions to ensure appropriate resources and capabilities are brought to bear to address business requests or requirements 
  • Establish effective communication cadences with relevant leadership and business teams to achieve relevant objectives and performance targets 

Education and Experience

 

  • 5 Years supporting a utility industry process model (Electric, Gas. Renewables and/or Water), including regulated and investor-owned businesses 
  • Demonstrated operational knowledge of utilities customer service processes  
  • Demonstrated ability to create product roadmaps or plans of equivalent complexity 
  • Product Owner experience is an asset - product owner experience in enterprise software is even better 
  • Experience leading teams, including planning, setting work priorities, managing performance and cross-team collaboration 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills 
  • Demonstrated ability to resolve problems and issues in a collaborative environment 
  • Proven track record of working closely and collaborating with others whether they be internal to the team or in one of our utilities  
  • In-depth knowledge of modern CRM toolsets and technologies.  
  • Familiarity SAP C4C, SAP ISU, SAP AMI, Qualtrics and SAP SEW mobile, and web are a strong asset.
