Operations Business Process Specialist

The Business Process Specialist role is responsible to provide business process knowledge and technical expertise to support the design and build of new technology which will support the meter to cash process.  This role will also provide business process knowledge applicable to self-service applications, including but not limited to: SAP S4/Hana, SAP C4 Service, Sales and Marketing, Open text, KUBRA and SEW.
This role is also responsible to provide business and technical guidance to support to the Customer Care teams and their users with respect to business processes, software advancements and configuration for the meter to cash process and self-serve systems. In addition, this role will also support and collaborate with the Operational and Finance teams within the business as it pertains to the meter to cash process and self-serve systems. The role will support the business and technical build in regards to design, application development, configuration, reporting and enhancements.



  • Provides decision making on technical recommendations and solutions for the meter to cash and standards for business processes and application design to deliver solutions that achieve a measurable improvement in customer experience.
  • Complete project deliverables in a timely manner as required, such as business requirements documentation, functional design documents, process flow documents and testing documentation.
  • Take initiative to work with business users and technical team members to gather information on system and business process requirements.  Perform analysis where possible for standardization, configuration and documentation of findings.     
  • Document all business process requirements to assist in development of functional design documents ensuring the technical design conforms to functional requirements.
  • Responsible for delivering, maintaining and supporting meter to cash process and self-serve applications for incubation period.                    
  • Works closely with IT and integrations teams to evaluate and recommend business process and technology driven enhancement opportunities based on system upgrades and releases.
  • Maintain data hierarchy structures in the meter to cash and self-serve applications.
  • Responsible for testing and training prior to application implementation to enhance or onboard individuals from within the business.
  • Provide technical expertise for customer report development, processes and workflow configuration.                    
  • Assist in identifying global processes where standardization is applicable while maintaining industry best practices.                     
  • Ensures that designed functions related to meter to cash process are working correctly and any issues with design, configuration or programs are identified and addressed as they occur.        
  • Maintain all regulatory requirements globally for meter to cash process and self-serve applications.                    
  • Provide business and process knowledge for user access role setup and ensure all user roles will successfully adhere to SOX compliance for security and seperation of duties.

Education and Experience


  • 3-5 years of related experiences                    
  • Previous industry project experience with Meter to Cash and Self-Service applications.  
  • Experience with SAP S4 Hana, C4 Service, Sales and Marketing, Open text,  KUBRA, SEW preferred. 
  • Strong organizational, analytical, problem solving, multi-tasking and time management skills. 
  • Dynamic team player and also works well independently.  
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. High concern for accuracy and quality.
