Manager, Transformation - ERP

The  Manager, Transformation - ERP  is responsible for overseeing the Regulatory accounting and reporting worksteams for the Customer First Project. The role will be responsible for ensuring all regulatory accounting and external regulatory reporting requirements are identified and met by SAP functionality. The role is also responsible for the overall regulatory account derivation process by ensuring all regulatory mapping and master data has been properly created and maintained.   This role has overall design authority and accountability for the in scope applications and business processes.  This role will work with other functional workstreams within Customer First, CIS, EAM and the reporting team  to ensure the regulatory reporting requirements are delivered through the SAP implementation.   The Manager, Transformation ERP is the primary business lead representing regulatory in all internal and external meetings, including cross functional consultations, and all project meetings.



  • Oversees and manages the Client's decisions regarding the System functionality.                    
  • Own Client’s input into the overall design for the respective process area                    
  • Approve key design decisions                    
  • Work with the functional team members to validate future view of the business processes and identify fit gap; planning change management activities for existing business processes necessary for a successful SAP implementation                    
  • Brings expertise to the Project based on overall knowledge and experience with the client's organization.                     
  • Champions the overall business functionality of the System.                    
  • Suggests and implements problem prevention and resolution actions.                    
  • Works with Vendor team to confirm business processes are properly understood as technology is implemented.                    
  • Provide Liberty specific process knowledge to the functional teams to help realize competitive advantages, or to address regulatory and legal requirements
  • Foster an environment of excellence and teamwork where employees are disciplined in processes and work collaborately towards the achievement of personal, departmental and business goals and initiatives.                    
  • Actively participate in the identification and execution of process improvement/best practice initiatives

Education and Experience


  • Strong knowledge of accounting theory, generally accepted accounting principles and the Code of Federal Regulations
  • Utility accounting experience an asset
  • Ability to analyze, interpret and report  financial information
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Strong computer skills in word processing, spreadsheets and database applications
  • Experience with Great Plains and SAP S/4 Hana system would be an asset
  • CPA/CMA designation an asset
