Manager, Business Process

Purpose

 

  • Be an enabler of EBS process focused engagement with our Business partners through process analysis, definition, and documentation. 
  • Facilitate business process performance improvements through use of process analysis and discovery workshops.  
  • Partner with business stakeholders to identify and monitor leading and lagging process performance indicators and recommend the implementation of control points or other process improvements to manage process compliance.

Accountabilities

 

  • Meet with business stakeholders to discuss areas of focus and improvement within the business. 
  • Lead with empathy and lead exploration sessions to uncover ‘current state’ process documentation and root cause analysis 
  • Facilitate process documentation workshops and document business processes across Lines of Business (e.g., Gas, Electric, Wind etc)
  • Develop project/process plans, process charters, executive-level and working team program updates
  • Be a process champion offering leading practices in the industry and act as advocate throughout different levels of organization
  • Act as an SME for successful process documentation frameworks and apply standards such as Business Process Modeling and Notation (BPMN) and Decision Modeling and Notation (DMN) 
  • Understand and apply the concepts of Business Process Management, process automation and relevant software features 
  • Work closely with process analytics and use data points to measure process compliance and identify opportunities 
  • Become familiar with and apply analytical approaches to process discovery, diagnostics, and exception management such as Process Mining 
  • Gather and process data to identify process performance areas. 
  • Design and recommend changes to workflow and process strategies to improve business performance. 
  • Support the implementation of revised company processes and workflows. 
  • Monitor the efficacy of updated workflows. 
  • Self-starter, autonomy and ability to work in pursuit of organizational objectives in a constantly changing work environment
     

Education and Experience

 

  • 5+ Years’ experience in business process design and documentation in a large-scale transformation program environment.   
  • University degree or equivalent experience 
  • Demonstrated experience deploying new and revised business processes to business stakeholders 
  • Experience leading process facilitation workshops and delivery of consumable artifacts for both business and IT stakeholders 
  • Experience working cross-functionally to resolve problems and issues in a collaborative environment
  • Working knowledge of BPMN 2.0 or equivalent process notation methodology 
  • Demonstrated familiarity with at least one process governance or process mining tool
  • Demonstrated ability to think critically, analytically and apply different skills for problem-solving 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and experience building and presenting concise project/program materials
