Purpose

THIS IS A TEMPORARY CONTRACT ROLE OF 18 MONTHS

 

Weld and fuse steel and plastic pipe and fittings as per Liberty’s policies and procedures. Locate underground plant using company records and electronic equipment. Inspect the installation, maintenance of buried and aboveground gas distribution plant.

Accountabilities

Welding:

  • Weld pipe and fittings as per Liberty’s policies and procedures. Perform steel service and main installations, abandonments and tie-ins.
  • Maintain all tools and equipment to keep in good working order.
  • Complete in-house fabrication of pipe and fittings.

Plastic Fusion:

  • Fuse plastic pipe and fittings as per Liberty’s policies and procedures. Perform steel service and main installations, abandonments and tie-ins.
  • Maintain all tools and equipment to keep in good working order.

On Call:

  • Regular rotation required as part of 24/7 on call response.

Pipeline Inspection / Locates:

  • Locate underground plant using company records and electronic equipment.
  • Create and complete accurate records to record all work performed.
  • Inspect the installation, maintenance and repair of buried and aboveground gas distribution plant.

 

This job role has a travel aspect of about 25%

Education and Experience

  • College or professional program of 3 years and less
  • 5 to 10 years of experience
