Accountabilities
- Perform utility locates of New Brunswick plant as well as experience in non-utility owned pipeline including the accurate completion of all associated paperwork on an as requisite basis.
- Participate in damage prevention education to the local excavation companies, as well as other utilities.
- Identify problems in process and opportunities for improved work practices.
- Inspect the installation of mains and services including the completion of accurate and timely associated paperwork Participate in on call rotation for utility locates Responds to gas emergencies Follow up on customer complaints or concerns.
- Follow up on quality of reinstatement
Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Demonstrated excellent oral and written and communication skills.
- Preference will be given to individuals with 3 – 5 years or current locate experience.
- Related post-secondary education or locate experience an asset.
- Valid driver’s license
- Exceptional interpersonal and negotiating skills
- Customer service focused.
- Ability to work well independently, self-motivated.
- Demonstrates good judgment
- Intermediate computer skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Physically able to perform duties.
- Good work record
