Purpose
The Senior Manager, Enterprise Strategy serves as a strategic execution partner, enterprise integrator, and operational leader reporting to the Senior Director, Enterprise Strategy. This role supports the translation of enterprise strategy into clear operating rhythms, measurable outcomes, cross-functional execution plans, and decision-ready insights that advance customer experience, affordability, digital enablement, operational performance, and regulatory readiness. The Senior Manager partners with business, Analytics, IT, Regulatory, Legal, Finance, Operations, OPCos, and external stakeholders to strengthen execution discipline, surface risks early, align priorities, and ensure strategic and regulatory work products are credible, data-driven, customer-focused, and operationally executable. In alignment with the enterprise data and analytics strategy, this role supports performance visibility and helps coordinate scalable, governed, and reliable delivery of insights that create measurable business value.
Accountabilities
- Translate strategic priorities into clear workplans, operating rhythms, measurable outcomes, and cross-functional execution plans.
- Coordinate multi-year and in-year roadmap execution tied to measurable business value, customer outcomes, affordability, digital enablement, operational performance, and regulatory readiness.
- Deploy a lean operating model to improve focus, accountability, progress visibility, and execution discipline across assigned initiatives.
- Support the development and execution of regulatory strategy across the CAO Shared Services organization in partnership with leadership.
- Coordinate timely execution across governance, priorities, decision frameworks, readiness plans, ownership models, and accountability mechanisms for regulatory responses, rate cases, compliance filings, investigations, policy proceedings, and other major regulatory moments.
- Manage preparation, review coordination, quality control for testimony, exhibits, discovery responses, compliance materials, analytics inputs, and executive briefing content. Ensure supporting materials are consistent, evidence-based, data-driven, and aligned with enterprise priorities.
- Drive day-to-day cross-functional alignment among CAO Shared Services, Regulatory Affairs, Legal, Finance, Operations, OPCos, Analytics, IT, and external partners to keep strategic initiatives, regulatory commitments, analytics priorities, and operational improvements aligned, coordinated, executable and on-track.
- Build trusted relationships and ensure delivery of strategic, value-added services. Serve as a trusted execution partner on strategy, customer, affordability, regulatory, operational, and organizational priorities.
- Analyze business issues, pressure test assumptions, organize inputs, develop decision frameworks, and translate insights into practical recommendations and executive-ready materials.
- Manage operating cadences, including staff councils, operational reviews, leadership meetings, initiative reviews, regulatory readiness forums, and performance reporting routines.
- Track progress on critical initiatives, surface risks early, coordinate issue resolution, support timely escalation, and maintain performance visibility across business functions.
- Develop executive communications, leadership updates, regulatory narratives, performance materials, and stakeholder engagement content that are clear, accurate, data-driven, and decision-ready.
- Synthesize complex inputs into concise messages, briefing materials, talking points, and presentations that support alignment, prioritization, and action by senior leaders.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in relevant field
- 5+ years of progressive management experience in enterprise strategy, analytics-enabled business transformation, chief of staff, strategic advisor, regulatory readiness, or operational execution roles.
- Experience must include coordinating cross-functional strategic initiatives, supporting senior leaders, contributing to regulatory strategy or readiness efforts, and managing operating cadences or performance routines.
- Strong capability with business plan deployment, execution planning, decision support, stakeholder alignment, issue tracking, and progress visibility across complex initiatives.
- Strong executive communication, analytical synthesis, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate complex inputs into clear recommendations and decision-ready materials.
- Experience operating in regulated or highly governed industries preferred.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and juggling many priorities.
