Purpose
The Senior Manager, Data Analytics and Translation is responsible for leading complex data analysis and translating business requirements into analytical solutions that support Liberty Utilities’ strategic and operational objectives. The role applies deep expertise across multiple data domains to ensure the accuracy, consistency, and usability of enterprise data and analytics outputs.
This position operates with a high degree of independence and judgment, partnering with business and functional leaders to define analytical needs, interpret results, and communicate insights that inform decision‑making. The role provides technical leadership within the analytics function, contributes to standards and best practices, and leads analytics initiatives or workstreams that require advanced analytical capability and cross‑functional coordination.
Accountabilities
•Serve as a subject matter expert across multiple data domains, contributing to the development and maintenance of data definitions, models, and analytical standards.
•Perform advanced data analysis, including complex statistical techniques, to support business planning, performance monitoring, and strategic initiatives.
•Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and appropriate interpretation of analytical results.
•Partner with internal stakeholders to gather, clarify, and document analytical requirements aligned with business objectives.
•Translate business questions into analytical approaches and translate analytical findings into clear, actionable insights.
•Present analytical results and recommendations to stakeholders at various organizational levels, including senior leadership.
•Design, develop, and maintain reports, dashboards, and visualizations that support operational and strategic decision‑making.
•Identify opportunities to improve processes, performance, or outcomes through data‑driven insights and analysis.
•Apply understanding of data structures and system interactions to troubleshoot issues and perform root‑cause analysis.
•Lead analytics projects or discrete workstreams, including planning, prioritization, coordination, and delivery of assigned work.
•Coordinate across functions to ensure analytics deliverables are completed accurately and on time.
•Contribute to continuous improvement of analytics practices, tools, and methodologies.
•Provide guidance and technical mentoring to other analytics team members through peer leadership and knowledge sharing.
•Contribute expertise to team discussions and support the development of analytical capabilities across the function.
Education and Experience
- University - Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in related field of study
- 10+ years in Data Aanalytics and Translation
- 5+ years as Lead, Principle, or Manager-level responsibilities in Data Aanalytics and Translation
- Prior utility industry experience preferrable
