Purpose
This position is responsible for delivering Liberty’s enterprise Operational Excellence strategy by supporting deployments of a Continuous Improvement Management System in the organization. We are looking for an effective collaborator with energy, enthusiasm and a can-do attitude who can empower others, gain buy-in and achieve results.
It will require working with teams to build continuous improvement practices in the business to deliver better outcomes for customers, employees and shareholders. We are looking for a strong coach who can build strong relationships, can clearly communicate, motivate and drive accountability.
This approach is expected to deliver the following business outcomes: Increased operational maturity, improved operational and financial performance measures and increased employee engagement.
Accountabilities
- Support the deployment of Continuous Improvement/Lean management systems across the Liberty footprint to improve performance and business outcomes
- Coach and train teams and leaders to embed a continuous improvement culture
- Perform and support data analysis to drive business insights
- Facilitate problem-solving activity and/or process improvement events
- Partner to facilitate the development of new processes, methods and approaches to enhance and add additional business value
- Develop change and communication plans to support deployments
- Drive and manage project delivery by engaging the teams and utilizing project management tools and skills.
- Drive continuous improvement within our own team’s methodology and documentation to enhance and add additional business value.
- Able to travel 50% of the time to different Liberty offices to deliver workshops, training and other tasks as required.
Education and Experience
- 3+ years experience and knowledge of Continuous Improvement management systems, Lean tools and approaches
- University - bachelor’s degree or equivalent
- Broad Job Knowledge - Broader knowledge of theory and principles within a professional discipline or advanced knowledge of specific technical/operational practices
- Have a good understanding of basic statistical techniques related to process improvement, and an ability to analyze data to gain insights and support problem solving.
- Have ability to partner in facilitation of cross-functional teams through current state assessments, process mapping exercises, root cause analysis and future state design sessions.
- Be able to train, coach and influence leaders and teams in Continuous Improvement Management Systems and performance improvement approaches.
- Must have an advanced level of listening and verbal communication skills, conflict resolution abilities and group facilitation skills.
- Must have ability to adapt to different personal and learning styles.
- Strong relationship management skills with ability to build and maintain relationships at various levels in the organization while displaying a high level of emotional intelligence.
- Have a good understanding of basic project management disciplines and change management principles/approaches, with experience of practical application.
- Able to develop strategies and tactics to mitigate resistance to change at both an individual and group level.
