Supply Chain Manager

Purpose

Liberty is looking for a Supply Chain Manager to Support company-wide initiatives by providing inputs as well as supporting the implementation process. Responsible for category management with the Operations Teams, sourcing and the entire procurement process. Capable of Collaborating with Warehousing Mgr./Team  for managing the maintenance of stock inventory of all material stock, stock requisitions, returns, etc.; analyzes physical inventory counts and reconciles results with inventory records; Reviews with Warehousing team that inventories are secure, properly identified and readily accessible to authorized personnel.  Conducts analyses and coordinates with warehousing Mgr./team, production and operations requirements.Will be responsible for the Purchasing (SupplyChain) activities within a particular region (Central). Responsible for performing and assigning tasks to employees to ensure compliance with these activities. Assists the Regional Director in the execution of the strategic plan. Must be willing to handle other duties as assigned in our ever evolving enterprise.

 

 

Accountabilities

Accountable for planning, executing and controlling all of the procurement activities for their asssigned operations, while collaborating with warehousing, fleet, facilities teams.   This includes analyzing current procurement processes, identifying gaps and developing and executing a procurement strategy focused on significantly reducing costs, while maximizing efficiency.  Responsible for negotiating and executing agreements that support the operational and corporate objectives of the organization.  Supervises others in providing the appropriate direction  required to meet the demands of the local operations.Leads, negotiates and manages regional initiatives; execute or coordinate Corporate initiatives. Sources and evaluates suppliers, negotiates favorable terms, volume discounts and long-term contracts with suppliers, and prepares and processes requisitions and purchase orders for the procurement of operation materials, office supplies, equipments, inventory items,services and supplies for customer-related business processes or for internal use as a generalist or in a combination.Develops and implements strategies for cost reduction, supplier consolidation, quality improvements and process efficiencies; Reviews purchase order claims and contracts for conformance to company policy, and discusses defects and delivery problems with suppliers and negotiates refunds; analyze relevant data and prepare reports.Coach and Develop direct reports with regular performance reviews related to SMART goal setting and achievement.Responsible for assessing quality and risks for procurement and fleet function and contracts for potential acquisition targets; for completed acquisitions, lead the efforts to integrate procurement/fleet functions into the company's existing structure.Prepare annual planning and budgets; provide assistance and input into capital and operating budgets and reforecast after each quarter for operating groups.

Education and Experience

Experience with implementation of  SAP S4HANA and Ariba  desired. Proficient user of Microsoft Office software, in particular PowerPoint, Word and Excel. General office equipment competency.

Bachelor's Degree in Management, Administration, Supply Chain or Office Administration, Supply chain certificate or equivalent work experience desired.  Utilities experience desired.

Ability and willingness to work in a complex environment comprised of both domestic and off-shore suppliers
