Purpose
The Sourcing Specialist II supports the execution of sourcing activities by coordinating RFx processes, conducting foundational market and spend analysis, preparing contract documentation, and facilitating supplier and stakeholder interactions. The role enables efficient, compliant sourcing outcomes by ensuring accurate data, clear requirements, and well-organized sourcing events. This position contributes to cost-effective supplier selection and process consistency across the procurement function.
Accountabilities
- Prepare RFIs, RFQs, and RFPs and coordinate supplier communication.
- Collect and organize requirements from internal stakeholders.
- Support supplier evaluation activities by assembling data and evaluation criteria.
- Maintain all sourcing documentation in accordance with procurement policy.
- Support reporting on sourcing activity, savings, and operational metrics.
- Draft standard contract documents using approved templates.
- Facilitate signature routing and ensure proper documentation.
- Enter executed contracts into the contract management system.
- Conduct supplier and market research to support sourcing recommendations.
- Identify pricing trends and potential sourcing opportunities.
- Gather requirements, clarify specifications, and support cross-functional sourcing activities.
- Escalate issues to senior sourcing staff when needed.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor degree or equivalent
- 3+ years of sourcing experience
- Competent Excel skills; familiarity with procurement tools
- Ability to analyze supplier data and basic spend trends.
- Strong communication and coordination skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong documentation capability.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
