Manager, Warehousing

Locally accountable for managing the maintenance of stock inventory of all materials stock, stock req.'s, returns, etc.  Conducts physical inventory counts and reconciles with inventory records; ensures that inventories are secure, properly identified and readily accessible to authorized personnel; Conducts analyses of inventory levels, and coordinates with production and sales requirements. Leads Warehouse Supervisor managing inventory activities such as cycle counts, etc. for compliance with Company’s accounting and SOX Key Controls (KC) requirements.  This individual will also coordinate with multiple operations stakeholders supplying proper materials for the maintenance and capital jobs requiring inventoried materials. 

Accountabilities

Implements strategies for cost reduction, supplier consolidation, quality improvements and process efficiencies; Reviews/discusses defects and delivery problems with suppliers and manages refunds. Analyzes relevant data and prepares reports  This position is responsible for 7 Staffed and 6 unstaffed warehouses, along with inventory at an alliance supplier site.

Responsible for assessing quality and risk for warehousing function. Lead efforts to integrate procurement/fleet functions within the company's existing structure

Prepare annual planning and budgets; provide assistance and input for capital and operating budgets. And reforecast after each quarter for operating groups

Executes on the Regional procurement goals by appropriately managing and delegating duties to the warehousing supervisor and warehousing staff.

Warehouse Supervisor position reports directly to this position, Manager is responsible for leading Supervisor in all aspects of the management of the warehouse(s) and inventory stock. Advises and assist with personnel matters.

 

Education and Experience

University – Bachelors degree or equivalent

5-10 years of experience

Professional Standard - mastery of specific professional discipline combining deep knowledge of theory and organizational practice or expertise across several different disciplines within a function or several different job areas across functions
