Purpose
The senior tax analyst will be primarily responsible for performing various tasks associated with the preparation of indirect taxes for compliance and reporting needs for the Central Region. They will also assist in providing information to support decisions by key stakeholders.

Accountabilities
- Assure the accuracy and timeliness of tax return preparation, payment of taxes and the maintenance of appropriate records
- Develop processes to ensure tax compliance performed accurately and timely
- Participate as a lead member of the tax team to assure that indirect taxes are properly reflected in the accounting records of the company in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and applicable tax laws and regulations
- Participate as a lead member during audits of the Company’s tax compliance
- Maintain good relationships with outside taxing authorities while representing the Company’s tax needs and issues
- Conduct research related to tax laws and regulations to minimize tax liabilities while complying with those laws and regulations
- Provide accurate and timely information to other departments to facilitate budgeting, planning, reporting and ratemaking activities
- Perform other tax related special projects as needed
Education and Experience
- 3+ years of experience in corporate tax
- Knowledge of the applicable federal, state and municipal tax laws/regulations
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Finance, Accounting, Economic or related field
- Proficient in the use of MS office products; SAP or similar; Power Plan and Power Tax exposure preferred; Hyperion smart-view preferred
- Excellent communication skills (both written & oral) and interpersonal skills to effectively work with other team members and different departments
Compensation Data
Full base salary range $80,000.00- $110,000.00 per year*Liberty considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, education, training and skills, and geographic location.
