The Supervisor, Billing is responsible for planning and supervising the billing processes and functions of the Billing Departments in Jackson, MO and Pine Bluff, AR. This position will add value by ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of all billing activities; in addition, this position will prepare monthly and ad hoc reports to management to assist with decision making, goal setting, and reporting. This role is responsible to ensure department objectives are met or exceeded.


  • Plans, assigns and supervises the work of billing staff. Evaluates the operations and activities of the Billing Department. Responsible for coordinating the daily billing, financial and other system routines.
  • Implement ongoing training requirements to ensure consistent, high-quality service delivery.
  • Responsible for developing the departments skills & providing ongoing coaching to ensure quality, reliability and productivity.
  • Escalate and manage system issues through the Service Hub ticket process.
  • Organizes and prioritizes a variety of projects and multiple tasks in an effective and timely manner; organizes own work, sets priorities, and meets critical time deadlines.
  • Maintains a variety of records and prepares routine reports of work performance. Prepares other operational analytical and statistical reports as requested.
  • Responsible for overseeing all key audit controls are being followed and met, will ensure any deficiencies are communicated to the Manger, Billing & Meter Data Analysis
  • Identifies problems, researches and analyzes relevant information, and develops and presents recommendations and justification for solutions.
  • Supports company policies and works within the guidelines of multiple State Regulatory agencies.
  • Work with leadership to identify and implement service and process improvements to improve the efficiency and quality of service.
  • Work with staff to investigate customer concerns and complaints, including those related to rates or service, and provide timely and appropriate response to customers
  • Inspire excellence through strong communication of the company's vision and goals to support a motivated and positive work culture.
  • Required to live in the Central Region
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

  • 3 years experience in a related to Billing and Customer Service within the utility field
  • Ability to perform general math calculations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication and division and applying concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situation
  • Valid Driver's License and proof of current insurance
  • Ability to travel if needed; up to 25%
