Purpose
The position may involve working Monday to Friday, 8:00 am – 4:30 pm or working on a rotating shift schedule which includes Saturdays, Sundays and holidays, depending on the assignment
Accountabilities
- Responding to and investigating water leaks and no water complaints, hydrant flushing, water main and services mark outs and meter changes.
- The position involves outside physical labor related to the installation of all types of piping, fire hydrants, services, and appurtenances.
- The applicant must have the ability to use and operate various types of tools and equipment utilized by the company in connection with installing, maintaining, and operating its facilities.
- The Utility Person II is required to become computer literate and able to learn and work with the Mobile Work Management Program used to manage customer service orders by the end of the probationary period.
- The Utility Person II must possess and maintain a valid New York State driver’s license.
