Manager, Supply Chain

Purpose

The Manager Supply Chain is responsible for the Procurement, Inventory Control and Fleet Operations for Liberty's natural gas operations in MA, GA and NY. The candidate will help lead the transformation of current supply chain processes from a tactical to strategic processes as the company implements SAP S4 HANA and Ariba over the next several years. This position will work with stakeholders in the development of RFX's and contract strategies for the selection of goods and services used by the organization.  The position includes supervision and oversight of the warehouse and fleet activities within the respective states.       

Accountabilities

  • Leads, negotiates and manages regional initiatives; execute or coordinate corporate initiatives. Sources and evaluates suppliers, negotiates favorable terms, volume discounts and long-term contracts with suppliers, and prepares and processes requisitions and purchase orders for the procurement of operation materials, office supplies, equipments, inventory items, services and supplies for customer-related business processes or for internal use as a generalist or in a combination.  
  • Develops and implements strategies for cost reduction, supplier consolidation, quality improvements and process efficiencies; Reviews purchase order claims and contracts for conformance to company policy, and discusses defects and delivery problems with suppliers and negotiates refunds; analyze relevant data and prepare reports
  • Support company-wide initiatives by providing inputs as well as supporting the implementation process.  
  • Accountable for managing the maintenance of stock inventory of all material stock, stock requisitions, returns, etc.; Conducts physical inventory counts and reconciles results with inventory records; Ensures that inventories are secure, properly identified and readily accessible to authorized personnel; Conducts analyses of inventory levels, and coordinates with production and sales requirements.  
  • Responsible for assessing quality and risks for procurement and fleet function and contracts for potential acquisition targets; for completed acquisitions, lead the efforts to integrate procurement/fleet functions into the company's existing structure.  
  • Coach and Develop direct reports with regular performance reviews related to SMART goal setting and achievement.  
  • Prepare annual planning and budgets; provide assistance and input into capital and operating budgets and reforecast after each quarter for operating groups.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent                                                                         
  • 10+ years of experience                                                            
  • Knowledge of SAP S4 HANA and Ariba applications desired #LI-DS1
