Purpose
Starting hourly wage: $45.72
LOCAL 369, UWUA AFL-CIO
Accountabilities
- Work self-directed according to regulatory guidelines, company guidelines, OQ requirements and union contract guidelines
- Support company security processes, in accordance with company policies, as they relate to the facilities located at Charles Street, Fall River
- Gain working knowledge of the distribution system and it’s pressures, i.e. MOP, MAOP
- Operate and monitor the company’s SCADA system, properly responding to alarms and where necessary, timely act to notify company management of operating abnormalities requiring immediate remedial action
- Complete call outs of field operators to respond to operating issues noted above
- Respond to calls outside regular working hours when necessary
- Qualified operator of the Fall River LNG facility according to LNG operating procedures, including the ability to operate related computers for LNG system operations
- Inspect, repair, adjust, calibrate and maintain district regulators, vaults, gate stations,
- odorization equipment, including odor level readings, LNG plant equipment and
- instrumentation, pilot operated regulator installations at large customer and other company
- locations, requesting CFS assistance where necessary, and check for corrosion at station facilities
- Perform mechanical maintenance as directed
- Maintain, calibrate, use and interpret mechanical and electronic pressure gauges, electronic testing equipment and gas monitoring equipment
- Install, repair, update and reload PLC’s, remote PC’s and other transmitting technological equipment
- Complete computerized or paper documentation as required
- Attend training sessions on equipment and be responsible to retain material covered
- Perform property maintenance on related company assets as required
- Maintain hazwooper certification.
- After 4 months, which include department orientation, pass LNG operator qualification testing. During the following 12 months, successfully pass regulator qualification testing. During the following 12 months, successfully pass mechanical and instrumentation qualification testing.
Education and Experience
- Possess DOT medical card, or obtain said certification within one week of starting position, or will be returned to former classification
- Possess a valid driver’s license
- Ability to drive company vehicles
- Ability to walk excessively on rough uneven terrain and work where bending, kneeling, squatting, climbing stairs, ladders, and lifting and/or carrying up to fifty pounds
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Demonstrate ethical, professional conduct at all times; comply with the Company Code of Ethics
- Must pass the written Field Assessment Test
- Must be in good physical condition
- Possess working knowledge of basic mathematics and basic computer applications
- Ability to read, write, speak and understand English clearly
- Ability to work overtime, scheduled and unscheduled 24/7
- Ability to work at heights of up to 120 feet
- Ability and willingness to perform all required maintenance work or operating functions under varied weather conditions
