Foreman, Corrosion Control

Perform various cathodic protection testing and trouble shooting on distribution mains and services to verify the test results meet all the requirements of the US DOT Pipeline Regulations, Part 192 Subpart I Requirements for Corrosion Control. Support the Company’s leakage survey program where needed.  Perform dig safe, damage protection program activities where workload dictates.  Assist the Foreman of Pressure Regulation in the operation & maintenance of district regulator stations and gate stations. Cover after hour on-call duties as needed.   


  • Testing and maintaining galvanic and impressed current cathodic protection systems
  • Develop, update and maintain written and computerized records
  • Conduct quarterly bridge inspections
  • Review construction projects for cathodic protection requirements
  • Assume on-call responsibilities for dig safe calls, gas odor complaints and various C&M activities     
  • Perform routine scheduled maintenance of district and gate station regulators
  • Conduct leakage surveys in areas of cast iron encroachments
  • Perform digsafe mark outs
  • Prepare maintenance work orders for C&M crews 

Education and Experience

  • Must have a High School Diploma
  • Minimum of 5 years of field experience
  • Extensive understanding of gas distribution system design and construction principles
  • Must be NACE Certified, or working towards certification.
  • Working knowledge of pressure control and monitoring systems
  • Must have a valid driver’s license. Must be able to work independently and with minimal supervision. Must be in good physical condition. Must be proficient with computers.
