Purpose

Lead creation and maintenance of IT technology roadmaps for IT Platforms and Services through collaboration with IT, Enterprise Architecture, Lines of Business, Enterprise Business Solutions, and Security teams.
Document and maintain technology strategies and standards related to IT Platforms and Services
Document and maintain business capabilities related to IT Platforms and Services.
Provide architecture governance of IT investments and projects.
Collaborate with Line of Business (LOB) to identify their technology needs and innovation opportunities.
Create Architectures/Designs which meet business requirements and strategies, and follow enterprise standards, as requested by Business/IT projects (Solution Architecture).

Accountabilities

Build and maintain architecture artifacts representing the current state landscape for IT Platforms and Services technology.
Build and maintain architecture artifacts representing the target state landscape for IT Platforms and Services technology.
Build and maintain Technology roadmaps for IT Platforms and Services
Develop close working relationships with Line of Business and understanding of business challenges and opportunities
Identify innovation opportunities where technology can add business value to IT Platforms and Services.
Gather and document business and technology requirements related to IT Platforms and Services.
Work with technology SMEs, industry partners and business leads to Create Architectures/Designs which meet business requirements and strategies, and follow enterprise standards, as requested by Business/IT projects (Solution Architecture)
Review Designs to ensure they align with Architectures and follow enterprise standards.
Lead Architecture governance – present and provide review at Architecture review board and project scoping meetings
Maintain Business Capability Model for capabilities related to IT Platforms and Services
Manage 1-5 infrastructure/cloud architects.

Education and Experience

University - Bachelor degree or equivalent
10 years of technology architecture experience
Demonstrated experience of developing roadmaps, developing standards, and architecture governance.
Strategic thinking and business communication – ability to decompose and communicate complex topics with non-technical audiences
Strong background in infrastructure technologies such as VMWare, Cisco, Windows, UNIX, and Linux
Experience working in the utility sector will be beneficial
Experience working across cloud providers such as Azure and AWS
Experience with SAP and other enterprise applications will be beneficial
Demonstrated knowledge of The Open Group Architecture Framework (TOGAF) or equivalent framework.
Ability to drive progress from poorly defined problem to create consensus on requirements and best solution to meet those requirements.

Good interpersonal and interviewing skills.
Experience with team management.
