Human Resources Business Partner

Purpose

The HR Business Partner II supports the Georgia East Region Team with administering/managing all day-to-day HR activities including policy and program management, engagement, onboarding, recruitment, compensation, communication, employee and labor relations in efforts to establish a business partnership with internal and external clients.

Accountabilities

  • Actively works with the department heads as coach and advisor. Serves as an escalation point for employee relations issues. Investigates, assesses, and counsels management for effective resolution within company policies and mandated regulations while abiding by state and federal laws.                                                                         
  • Active team member for interviewing of candidates for open positions.  Aligns with Talent Acquisition in the selection process and offer process. Attends Joint Committee Meetings between Unions and Management.                                                            
  • Serves as an escalation point for labor relations issues. Communicates and Notifies Union of upcoming impacts to business that prompt bargaining requirements. Point person for all new hire onboarding.  Ensure all background checks, I-9 verification and post offer drug test is complete and in compliance with Federal and State manndates.                                                                          
  • Track and approve step increases. Ensure and timely submittal for all annual GWI increases to payroll, stipends, and other contractual obligations.
  • Numerous HR and Union related monthly Reports for escalation and auditing.  

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources or equivalent
  • 5+ years of experiences
  • Human Resources Certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP)
