Purpose

The HR Business Partner administers day-to-day Human Resources activities including policy and program management, recruitment, compensation, communication, and employee relations in efforts to establish a business partnership with internal and external clients. The HR Business Partner acts as an employee engagement champion and change agent. Formulates partnerships across the organization to deliver value-added HR services to management and employees that reflects the business objectives. Human Resources individual contributor who supports and collaborates with the organization's management team. The HR Business Partner is tasked with ensuring alignment between the business operations and the HR practices and objectives. Keen understanding of the business’s strategy, providing dynamic solutions using experience, data analyses, and organizational agility to guide decision making. The HR Business Partner provides consulting and coaching to departmental leaders and managers in order to support the business’s vision, mission, and overall objectives. Responsible for delivering a comprehensive and customer centric driven people service, aligning both people management and business strategies. Experienced contributor who supports and collaborates with the organization's leadership team.

Accountabilities

Compliance and Administration:

Actively works with the department heads as coach and advisor. Serves as an escalation point for employee relations issues. Investigates, assesses, and counsels management for effective and consistent resolution within company policies and mandated regulations while abiding by local, state and federal mandates.

Local HR Ops:

  • Serves as an escalation point for employee relations issues. Advises management in appropriate resolution of employee relations.
  • Contributes and participates in engagement survey action planning, succession planning, workforce planning and organizational change management.
  • Supports and coaches local assignments in roll out of new HR programs and initiatives to ensure clients adopt to Liberty Way

Recruitment, Selection and Onboarding:

  • Active team member for interviewing of candidates for open positions. Aligns with Talent Acquisition in the selection process and offer process.
  • Administers salary administration program to ensure compliance and equity within organization.
  • Point of contact in conjunction with Employee Service Team for all new hire onboarding. Ensure all background checks, I-9 verification and post offer drug test is complete and in compliance with Federal and State laws.

HR Program Support:

  • Assist with communication of compensation, merit and bonus processes, short and long term incentive plans, and communicating annual objectives definition process.
  • Assists with performance review program to ensure effectiveness, compliance, and equity within organization.
  • Assists in providing coaching and mentoring to other HR Business Partners.

Education and Experience

  • University or equivalent
  • 5 years of experience
