Purpose
Under the direction of the Site Manager, the desired candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operations of the hydroelectric plant. The candidate will must carry out and coordinate operation/maintenance tasks related to the site plus be responsible for communications to various agencies. They will also have to interact with Liberty’s Technical Department, in order to ensure the execution of preventive and predictive maintenance tasks.

- Must be able to provide permanent residence in Cochrane, On
- Carry out mechanical maintenance tasks on various pieces of equipment related to the hydro-electric facility
- Safely assist in various electrical maintenance, inspections, housekeeping, heavy equipment machine operations, grounds keeping and general repairs of the facility
Education and Experience
- Mechanical or Hydraulic diploma, or 10 years in an Industrial mechanical role (Heavy Duty Mechanic, hydraulic or Millwright)
- Electrical diploma considered an asset
- 5 years of work experience in the industrial field
- Technical and practical knowledge in the following fields: electrical, mechanical, instrumentation and control, operation of industrial and / or hydraulic processes
- Valid Driver’s license
- Knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite, SAP
