Purpose

 

Under the direction of the Long Sault Rapids Hydro Facility Site Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operations of the hydroelectric plant.  Part of the duties is to carry out and coordinate operation/maintenance tasks related to the site plus be responsible for communications to various agencies. They will also have to interact with Liberty’s Technical Department, in order to ensure the execution of preventive and predictive maintenance tasks.

  • Flexible Hrs and availability for emergency call-outs
  • Must be able to provide permanent residence in Cochrane, On
  • Carry out electrical maintenance tasks on various pieces of equipment related to the hydro-electric facility
  • Safely assist in various electrical maintenance, inspections, housekeeping, heavy equipment machine operations, grounds keeping and general repairs of the facility

Education and Experience

 

  • Electrical Technician or Industrial electrician 442A diploma, or 10 years’ experience in a Industrial role
  • Mechanical diploma considered an asset
  • 5 years of work experience in the industrial field
  • Technical and practical knowledge in the following fields: electrical, mechanical, instrumentation and control, operation of industrial and / or hydraulic processes
  • Valid Drivers license
  • Knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite, SAP

Compensation Data

 

Full hourly range $38.00- $45.00 per hour*Liberty considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, education, training and skills, and geographic location.
