Purpose

Position is responsible for administering field operations activities related to scheduling MDT workload as appropriate, resolving measurement errors, receiving and scheduling construction and basic administration functions and coordinating maintenance orders.  

Accountabilities

  • Monitors, controls and reschedules MDT workload as appropriate; read all system generated reports and makes preparations for next day operations.
  • Generates reports on completed, closed, cancelled and aging service orders.
  • Efficiently dispatches services orders and work orders to operations staff based on schedules provided by Supervisors.
  • Provides general administrative support within Operations.
  • Monitors, schedules, and processes ITRON meter reading routes as needed, serve as a backup to Meter Data Coordinator. 
  • Assign priorites to calls and schedules orders for appropriate personnel.
  • Works closely with Operation Supervisors to add controls within the locate process.  May prepare, distribute and maintain daily line locates.
  • Generates and maintains various logs and reports on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.
  • Investigates measurement erros and coordinates adjustments.
  • Assists personnel by communicating pertinent data and other information related to various situations.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent; associates degree preferred.
  • Minimum of two experience in customer service or closely related field will be considered; utility experience a plus.
  • Requires the ability to communicate with internal and external customers in order to obtain and/or provide basic facts using by phone, email, and letter.
  • Requires the ability to perform basic mathmatical skills (add, subtract, multiply, and divide).
  • Requires proficient computer skills for data entry, reporting, reference and/or retrieval of tasks.
  • Requires proficiency in Microsoft office (Excel, Outlook, and Word).
