Senior Manager, Transformation - ERP

Purpose

 

The Senior Manager, Transformation ERP is responsible to ensure all SAP Controlling (CO) deliverables for non-regulated, corporate and shared services entities, are completed timely, which includes defining master data: cost center, activity types, and transactional data: activity rates, internal orders, and settlement and assessment processes related to cost settlements (expense, capital and balance sheet) and overhead configuration.

Accountabilities

 

  • Assist with the creation of CO process flows, test scripts and end user training material/job aids
  • Work collaboratively with the other core functional leads: General Ledger, Payroll/Workforce Software, Asset Accounting, Supply Chain Management and Enterprise Asset Management
  • Responsible for the SAP Central Finance replication function including maintenance of the Chart of Account mapping table, reconciliation, master data governance, and controls
  • Participate in workshops, provide business scenarios and validate requirements 
  • Train end users on CO process and provide guidance throughout User Acceptance Testing 
  • Support the local finance team during post go live/hyper-care period to ensure month end close deadlines are met
  • Be involved in change management with finance, keeping them well informed of changes and supporting the finance to positively adopt the new systems and procedures

Education and Experience

 

  • Strong knowledge of accounting theory, generally accepted accounting principles and the Code of Federal Regulations
  • Utility accounting experience an asset
  • Ability to analyze, interpret and report  financial information
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Strong computer skills in word processing, spreadsheets and database applications
  • Experience with Great Plains and SAP S/4 Hana system would be an asset
  • CPA/CMA designation an asset
