Product Manager, Enterprise Business Solutions

You’ll be part of the Enterprise Business Solutions Center of Excellence, reporting to the Director, EBS.   

As a Product Manager, you will work with Liberty leadership and business stakeholders across our diverse utilities and business areas to develop business and feature roadmaps for the Customer First platform.  Customer first encompasses a broad range of utility business functions and offers an exciting opportunity to work with a leading edge, integrated ERP platform.  

You’ll propose, prioritize and help champion new, innovative ideas that will help Liberty meet and exceed business objectives. 

What you will need to be successful: 

  • Product Management – Provide on-going product management while ensuring that activities are consistent with Liberty's values and business plans. Coordinate with the activities of other related areas. Lead in the development of options and proposals for initiatives related to product enhancements and developments and make recommendations regarding impact, effectiveness and feasibility. 
  • Relationship Management - Build internal and external relationships as required to help ensure we are providing the right level of guidance to our business partners. Frequent contact with leaders in our various operational divisions and centers of excellence. 
  • Entrepreneurial Minded -You must be able to thrive and succeed in an entrepreneurial environment, be able to define and establish processes and not be hindered by ambiguity or competing priorities. Maturity, high judgment, negotiation skills, ability to influence, and leadership are essential to success in this role. 



  • Develop and maintain the EBS Enhancement/Backlog management process 
  • Develop and communicate the Customer First Roadmap. Create and maintain a backlog of enhancements to the Customer First solution 
  • Facilitate backlog management activities and ceremonies including periodic grooming, and leadership reviews 
  • Advise stakeholders on their responsibilities in the enhancement/backlog management process including, submission and refinement of requests, preparation of formal change management requests and periodic ceremonies 
  • Facilitate the submission of change requests to approving authorities (e.g. Customer First Program Design Authority 
  • Serve as EBS liaison to active program Design Authority meetings, IT sponsored change management processes and meetings (e.g. CAB’s, CRB’s) and other change management activities as appropriate 
  • Engage appropriate Business Process Owner teams to support analysis of enhancement requests and gather input for road mapping, portfolio and other planning activities 
  • Develop and maintain a network of stakeholders and subject matter experts within the Business and other supporting functions 
  • Support the Director, EBS in the development of governance presentations, recommendations for project portfolios, roadmaps and investment plans as required 

Education and Experience


  • You will have 5+ Years of product experience, in a product owner, product manager or like role. 
  • You can demonstrate experience in product management, strategic planning, and project management sufficient to identify, develop and implement approved initiatives. 
  • You will have experience supporting a utility industry process model (Electric, Gas and/or Water), including regulated and investor owned 
  • You will have 1-2 years practical experience applying agile methods and principles to manage work at the project or program level (with emphasis on backlog management and program increment level planning) 
  • You can demonstrate knowledge of ITIL (or similar) and SDLC 
  • You have experience leading teams through influence, including planning, setting work priorities, managing performance and cross-team collaboration. 
  • You have experience supporting program, portfolio and/or enterprise level planning activities 
  • You have a degree/diploma or equivalent experience in technology, business, marketing or finance
