HRIS Analyst, Time and Payroll - (1 year contract)

Reporting to the Senior Manager HRIS Transformation ERP, this position will be part of the HR Transformation team and will participate in the full cycle of implementation activities involved in the implementation of Workforce Software Time & Attendance and associated integrations. The role will work with business users and consulting resources to document and analyze business requirements, develop functional specification documents, define functional configuration and security, as well as develop test scripts and complete system testing.  In addition, this position will interface with subject matter experts to explain potential solutions and prepare the organization for a successful implementation.




  • Define and analyze business processes and business specific procedures.
  • Assist in gathering and interpreting functional requirements.
  • Liaise with business on requirements and design issues.
  • Provide input and recommendations on system design and help resolve system design issues.
  • Produce functional requirements documents and other project deliverables.
  • Serve as liaison between business subject matter experts and consulting resources responsible for development and configuration.
  • Work with consulting team during system development life cycle, participate in design, data mapping, data modeling, and program specification walk-throughs.
  • Assist in confirming security and control designs.
  • Develop forms, workflows, and written procedures.
  • Plan and document test scenarios.
  • Develop functional specifications for integrations, reports, forms and other objects.
  • Participate in all aspects of testing, including, but not limited to, test script design, unit, functional, integration, parallel, and UAT testing.
  • Attend all project meetings on an as-required basis.
  • Work with other functional teams to provide required input when required.
  • Communicate with business and manage expectations related to the overall goals of the Customer First and WFS projects.
  • Other duties as required.

Education and Experience


  • A minimum at least 3 years’ experience as an HRIS analyst or related project experience.
  • Experience with, and a strong understanding of HR processes, especially time and payroll.
  • Solid knowledge of HR data models and structures, as well as the interrelationships within an HRIS solution.
  • Practical experience with HRIS database administration, including payroll systems.
  • At least 3 full cycles HR System or Time implementation experience.
  • Experience developing and writing functional specifications.
  • Experience with HR data Integrations to internal and external business systems, including payroll.
  • Solid understanding of, and experience with, HR reporting and analytics.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • An understanding of organizational change management principles.
  • Experience with Workforce Software Time & Attendance, SuccessFactors, and SAP HCM would be an asset.
  • Understanding and experience with ERP systems.
  • Strong planning and project management skills. 
  • Good communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities, and the ability to reassess and reprioritize competing needs.
