Asset Management Analyst

The Analyst, Asset Strategy conducts analyses and carries out tasks to support the delivery of asset management services for a portfolio of generation facilities (Hydro, Solar, Wind and Thermal). Areas of focus include contract analysis and compliance monitoring, financial analysis, process/procedure development and mapping, tax equity reporting, and other commercial tasks as assigned.



  • Prepare well-written summary of contractual terms for each key agreement related to asset and identify key contractual terms requiring compliance monitoring and identify compliance mechanisms
  • Monitor all conditions required for compliance by both the Owner and the counterparty
  • Prepare and/or coordinate timely reporting to satisfy compliance requirements
  • Develop and maintain contractual and compliance specific documentation including population of directories, searches of legacy document control systems, and support the implementation of new document control and compliance tracking systems
  • Analyze monthly financial reports for trends and coordinate with FP&A and accounting to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting
  • Conduct ad hoc analyses in support of the business, including business case preparation, decision tree development, and evaluation of assets according to a variety of metrics (e.g. ROI, ROA, EPS)
  • Support with the preparation of annual budgets and quarterly reforecasts
  • Engage in stakeholder communications under the direction of Sr Manager and Specialists
  • Collabrate regularily with internal stakeholders (Engineering, Operations, Finance, Business Development)
  • Monitor, evaluate, and report on the performance of operations and technical service providers
  • Suport with Risk Management, insurance and warranty claims

Education and Experience


  • University degree Engineering, Business or Finance.    
  • 1-3 years experience in business analysis, contract analysis and management.
  • Proficient in the use of analytical tools.
  • Renewable energy (Wind/Solar/Hydro) experience is an asset.
