Construction Planner Team Lead- Electric (Kodiak)

Supervise the Construction Planning Department to ensure a motivated, trained and productive team.  Assist the team with technical and procedural/policy questions.  Address potential customer complaints and concerns.   Also responsible for training new employees in the department. 


  • Supervise the operation of the Construction Planning Department to ensure customer needs are met in a courteous, professional and timely manner.
  • Assists Construction Planning Management in planning, organizing and facilitating the effective operations of the Construction Planning Department.  Assist in ensuring a safe work environment for the department.
  • Ensure company policies, standards and procedures are administered consistent with company goals and objectives while maintaining a cooperative working relationship with internal and external customers.    
  • Plan, engineer, and prepare work orders to ensure completion consistent with customer needs, company standards, safety considerations, and applicable codes.  Negotiate contracts and acquire R/W needed to provide service to the customer.
  • Coordinate with team members to keep jobs on schedule and exceed customer expectations.
  • Assist other team members and departments with disaster recovery.

Education and Experience

  • High School diploma or equivalent 
  • Minimum five (5) years of electrical utility experience preferred
  • Technical Degree or Engineering Degree preferred
  • Computer Aided Drafting (CAD) experience preferred
  • Work Management System experience recommended
