Purpose
This position will support the outreach, planning, implementation and reporting of the Company’s drought and water efficiency programs to its water customers in the California Water territory. This position is responsible for exploring innovative solutions to support our low income and Access and Functional Needs populations. The coordinator assists numerous projects simultaneously and works closely with various internal departments, implementation support vendors, utility partners and external stakeholders, as well as provides administrative support to the Specialist, Program Managers, Manager and Senior Manager in the department.
Accountabilities
- Sensitive to the needs of customers and seeks opportunities to increase participation in Water Efficiency programs throughout service territory utilizing strong Spanish bilingual skills.
- Provide one on one customer support and in community interactions to convey priority of customer needs to support development of new programs and/or modifications to current programs as applicable.
- Develop thorough understanding of customer program offerings.
- Utilizing strong organizational skills, provide administrative support to Water Efficiency as well as other Company programs and departments including, but not limited to, California Alternative Rates for Water (CARW) and Business and Community Development tasks.
- With guidance from Program Manager/Manager support Customer Solutions and Regulatory teams in data gathering and tracking of mandated CPUC reporting.
- Explore opportunities to support low income and Access and Functional Needs Populations through direct customer communications and targeted involvement in community events.
- Review program marketing content and materials from a customer perspective and collaborate with team on updates.
Other duties:
- Frequent travel throughout service territory required.
- Other duties as assigned; including but not limited to, emergency assignments during outage events, representing the company at business and community events, and supporting the Customer Care and Customer Solutions departments.
Education and Experience
- Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communications skills in both English and Spanish.
- Knowledge of California Water territory customer base and communities preferred.
- Strong organizational, analytical, multi-tasking & time management skills.
- Ability to be flexible, decisive and quick-thinking.
- Ability to work both independently and as a team.
- Commitment to excellence and reliability to work schedule.
- Flexible in duties and responsibilities.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Run and develop reports as needed.

- Experience in utility industry preferred.
- Possess strong interpersonal skills, including but not limited to, listening, problem-solving and decision making.
- Strong knowledge of Internet software and the Microsoft Office Suite of products., with an emphasis on Excel.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Salary: $48,050 - $72,074 DOE
